What data we collect

• Name, email and phone number, when you contact us by WhatsApp, email or phone, or send a booking request.
• Request details: dates, number of guests, extras requested and the messages you exchange with us.
• Guest identification details for the guest registration form, which is required by law before your stay.
• Payment details shown on the payments we receive (bank transfer, Revolut or MBWay).

This website has no forms or user accounts and does not use analytics or advertising tools.

Why we use your data and on what legal basis

• Replying to your enquiries and preparing your booking: steps taken at your request before a contract.
• Managing your booking and stay (payments, deposit, check-in, extras): performance of a contract.
• Guest registration, invoicing and accounting: compliance with legal obligations.
• Sending news or offers: only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who we share your data with

• The competent authorities, where required by law (for example, submitting the guest registration form).
• Our accountant, to meet our tax obligations.
• Service providers that help us run the business: this website's hosting (Netlify), email and WhatsApp (when you choose that channel) and Google Maps (only if you choose to view the map).

We never sell or share your data for marketing purposes.

Transfers outside the European Union

Some providers (Netlify, Google and Meta/WhatsApp) may process data in the United States. In those cases the transfer relies on the safeguards provided by the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep your data

We keep data only for as long as needed for the purpose concerned. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted once they are no longer needed. Invoicing data and guest registration forms are kept for the periods required by law.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, erase, restrict or port your data, and object to its processing, including for marketing. Just write to info@praiadasconchas.pt. We reply within the legal deadlines.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD (www.cnpd.pt).

Security

We use secure connections (HTTPS) and limit access to your data to the people who need it to manage your booking.
