Holidays in Santa Eulália, Albufeira: calm, beaches and good food
Beautiful, easy-to-reach beaches, clifftop walks with sea views, good restaurants and cafés, and private pool villas a short drive away.
Praia das Conchas · October 2026
There is a side of the Algarve best enjoyed slowly. Quiet mornings, a first swim before the beach fills up, a long lunch in the shade and dinner as the sun goes down, with the sea still glowing. This is what holidays in Santa Eulália, Albufeira, feel like.
It is one of the calmest parts of this coast. The nearest beaches are Santa Eulália, Olhos de Água and Falésia, with cliffs to walk along, good restaurants and cafés, and the rest of the Algarve a short drive away. If you are planning a holiday in Santa Eulália, it is a wonderful place to start.
Santa Eulália Beach
It is a beach for every day: golden sand sheltered by cliffs and pine trees, with a restaurant right on the sand and a café where you can sit and watch the ocean with a drink in hand, without checking the time.

The mood is relaxed and family-friendly. Children build sandcastles, grown-ups read in the shade and, late in the afternoon, the seafront path invites one last stroll before dinner. Just above the beach, clifftop trails lead to viewpoints over the whole bay.

Eating well in Santa Eulália
Estrada de Santa Eulália brings together restaurants and cafés for every part of the day: breakfast, a long lunch, a dinner of grilled fish. For a special evening, there are also more refined restaurants in the area.
Olhos de Água, the old fishing village
A few minutes away, Olhos de Água is a former fishing village that still keeps its charm. Its centre is very picturesque, with plenty of restaurants, cafés and ice cream parlours. Boats rest on the sand, reddish cliffs wrap around the small cove and, by the beach, fish restaurants serve lunch with a view of the sea.

The name comes from the freshwater springs that rise near the beach, a little detail worth discovering with children.
From there, the coast carries on with the same cliffs and pine trees, and the sea stays in view all the way to Falésia Beach.
Falésia Beach
If you enjoy walking, the stretch between Olhos de Água and Falésia Beach is one of the loveliest on the coast. The trails along the clifftops, between pine trees and ochre sandstone, open onto the sea at every turn.
Below lies Falésia Beach, with about 6 km of sand, around 15 minutes by car. In the late afternoon, when the light warms the cliffs, it is easy to see why it is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Algarve.
