Our Story

Every project begins with a moment — ours started long before Praia das Conchas had a name. These houses were cared for, rented for holidays, and used by our family during special occasions, like Christmas or birthdays. There is a quiet continuity in this journey: these homes were appreciated long before the Praia das Conchas brand existed. What I do today is simply a continuation of that work — improving, updating and shaping each space in a way that honours what came before, while creating something new. A balance between roots and reinvention.

A Collection That Grew in Its Own Time

Praia das Conchas was never meant to be a big project. It grew slowly — one renovation at a time, one improvement each season, always with calm and intention.

Today, our small collection of holiday homes in the Algarve reflects what we value most:

• a relaxed atmosphere for families and friends

Each home carries its own story, along with the care I’ve put into it over the years. It’s not about luxury; it’s about creating places where people simply feel good.

Living and Hosting in the Algarve

Being born and raised in the Algarve means this project is deeply connected to this place. The scent of the sea, the old pine trees, the cafés and restaurants we’ve always known, the slower mornings, and the walks along the cliffs — all of this shapes the way we welcome those who stay with us.

We know these places, these beaches, these seasons. We understand the rhythm of local life and bring that knowledge naturally into the way we host. Praia das Conchas is the Algarve as we know it from the inside — the lived-in Algarve, not the touristic version.

From Hosting Our Own Homes to Supporting Other Hosts

As Praia das Conchas grew, I started meeting hosts with questions very similar to those I once had — how to show their homes at their best, communicate with guests, think about positioning and strategy, understand the platforms, or handle direct bookings, particularly when they’re just beginning.

Over time, I began sharing what I had learned, and that support started to happen naturally. There are no perfect formulas — just the day-to-day experience, the trial and error, and the small details that end up making a difference.

Today, I support other hosts with a practical and honest approach, grounded in what truly works. Always with simplicity, and with the same care I put into my own homes.

Praia das Conchas remains a small project by choice. We like it this way: close, personal, intentional.
